APIDIS contacts and collaborates with industry |
|
Partners have demonstrated the automatic
production and summarization prototypes to a number of companies.
Contacts have
been made with ESPN, Cisco, NeuroTV and BeTV. A collaboration has been
initiated with Telefonica Innovation Division. Notably, the prototypes were
demonstrated to professional broadcasters, system integrators, IPTV providers, media distributors, telecom and mobile operators
at IBC 2009 from September 10-15.
About 20
interesting contacts resulted. See the IBC 2009 presentation.

The APIDIS test dataset |
|
Partners have now deployed the
acquisition system, developed in the project, to collect two
basketball
and three surveillance datasets. Partner MediaPro has provided several
football
matches for the dataset. The data will be available for preparing the
end-of-project
trials, scheduled for summer
2010. The first
basketball dataset is available
for public distribution and has been released to six institutions. It
was also
the basis for the IEEE/ACM ICDSC09 scientific challenge.
